It can even cut down the document file size. The Delete Unused Panel Items is another great example of the strength of Actions. I most often use F-keys for the following actions, they really come in handy:
   Place (a photo, logo or template for instance)
   Add Crop Marks
   Hide/Show Artboard
   Hide/Show Page Tiling
