It's an invaluable trick that almost nobody knows. The thing is you have to click on a corner point without dragging, hold down Ctrl then you can move the point. This means it's impossible to use this tool with a tablet because when you touch the surface with the stylus to select the point you can't help but move the point a little which neutralizes any modifier key.
