  1. What I always seem to be looking for are the following:
    – Fantasy creatures from gnomes and dragons (eastern and western), this also would include mythological creatures.
    – Templates for layouts and frames
    – B-movie poster elements

  2. I would like to see some t-shirt vector art. Specifically any type of extreme sport to include racing, motorcross, snowboarding, wake boarding and so forth.

  3. I’d like to see some complex calligraphy ornaments and curls, hand drawn lines of different media such as pens, chalk, brushes and some background textures, paint splatters, drips, scratches and tears.

  4. I’d like to see some vintage looking textures in vector, like wood etchings, acid etchings, some carved out textures and such. woot!

  5. I would like to see more retro (People and objects from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s) and distressed (patterns, overlay, and background elements etc.) graphics.

  6. I would like to see pattern to be used for background such as Damask, retro, bubbles and ornaments to go with them.

  7. planets/stars/galaxies…space in general, including spaceships (real or made up) would be pretty cool

  8. I’d like to see anything with more texture – more rough around the edges items which are quite time consuming to make in vector format. Grungy backgrounds and patterns but also objects in a rougher style.

  9. I’d like to see swirls and such ornamental designs, textures, “complex” root structures (such as plant roots) and perhaps halftone patterns applied in curvy shapes, for example, halftone applied in a twirl motion.

  10. I like Swirls and Swishes (if thats the right name for it). Also cool shapes that can be used for logos and things. Anything really would be great, and useful.
    Cheers!!

  11. Most important to me is, to find vectors, with interesting tool combinations, to find out, how they are done. so to get new ideas how to do things my way.

Types are mostly told, but my main interests are nature, science and technology.

    Thanks

  12. i would love to have more interesting things like cityscape vectors , science fiction vectors like robots or zombies, vectors of people, shirts, objects, cars.

  13. I’d love to see logo elements.I’m always in a pinch to create mock logos. Stuff like that always helps.

  14. I’ll be happy if i get swirls, ornamental, floral, buttons, icons, logos, grunges, textures, and patterns.
    Thanks vectips and Artbox7.

  15. I’d like to see some roller derby icons. Not old school derby stuff, but the new flat-track revival. Like a decent quad speed skate from a few different angles. From really detailed, to something very simple.

  16. i’d like to see retro, abstract and brushes too.
it seems to be my kind of style so it could be really benefical for me.

  17. Character profiles you don’t see every day. Example profiles: fat guy eating hamburger, surfer running for waves with board on head, little girl doing cartwheels, two muscular guys boxing, business man with scotch glass in hand, etc. People in active poses basically but with a little character. Always looking for stuff like this.

  18. I would like to see some baroque inspired patterns and shapes. Also natural textures are hard to find in vector such as seamless rock, water and branch textures.

  19. More generic business type vectors like finance/money, appreciation, thanks, etc. Thanks for the opportunity to win and comment.

  20. How about a great music pack, instruments and musical paraphernalia i.e. headphones, turntables casset tapes.

  21. I’d love to see some bottles, glasses, cans, dishes, bowls, and silverware… can you tell I work with food? Thanks for the opportunity and keep up the great work!!

  22. What fun!
I would have liked to see vector art of old sketches. Like stuff done with a pen nib and ink. Mini illustrations and the like of these.

  23. I’d like to see more simple shape vectors, like lightnings, flowers, swirls, curls, but minimal, not completed.
I really don’t like to see another vector watercolor brush set 🙂
    thanks

  24. i would like to see silhouettes of dancing peoples… 80s and 70s style.

do you see how i mean it ? a bit like the old iPod commercial just with 70s and 80s flair.

people with afro hair cuts, girls with flared pants/trousers etc, etc 🙂

also a tango dancing pair as silhouette would be nice.. the more i think about it the more silhouettes i can think of. yep, such a pack would be great 🙂

  25. I love vectors because they are so versitle and varied, photoshop brushes a good but vectors are quick and easy and just as effective..I’d be happy to win any of the sets YAY FOR VECTORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  26. i definitely would like to see some more scrolls/banners packs, and perhaps even icons.

    Cool contest, btw 😉

Carry on with the nice work, lads!

  27. Hey! I’d like them making more cartoonish creatures (for marketing and add purposes). That would be very sweet.

  28. I would like one of the vector pacs, wich lets me combine wicked vector stuff with photography.

    Thats prettymuch the use 🙂

    Have a nice day all.

  29. I’s like to see: 3d realistic icons, textures (wood, concrete, stone, paper, metal…), abstract color transparenices like veerle does.

  30. Grungy prints that look messily screen printed, stencils are cool too. Graffiti styles.

We always need concept illustrations at work too, like generic topics: money, growth, GFC, retail etc. Pretty rare to find in image libraries.

  31. I’d like to see more vectors in material textures i.e. wood, corroded steel, polished metal, skin, etc. Royalty free cartoon characters are always good too!

    Thanks!

  32. Grunge and florals are overdone. I’d like to see some more unique stuff, maybe some vintage travel poster stuff (aviation, travel, etc…)
    thanks

  33. Unusual patterns and wallpapers would be great! You know, not your usual retro wallpaper, paisley or swirl, something quirky that has more interesting features to it. More detailed pieces which have hidden objects/illustrations in them. That would be awesome!

Also, another subject which seems to be lacking in the vector world, is money/finance. An pack on this subject would be great, with generic symbols and a more abstract take.

  34. Would love more silhouettes of people, animals, vector ornaments and decorative elements used in architecture and interiors. Everyday items like household stuff, food, etc. Retro or vintage (period) items would be great, too.

  35. Frankly, I’m tired of seeing floral vectors, sillouhettes and colour bursts – so I’d like to see something really unique – how about chairs? Okay – sounds strange, but it would be usefull when in need of a base for a character, or to plop a person onto? Another alternative would be technology – wires, discs, mice, keyboards, speakers, remotes, chips etc. anything to do with elctronic tech would be great. Thanks!

  36. I would like to see some vectors based around water sports: surfing, paddling, canoes, swimmers, jet skis, sailboats, etc. And a set that would go well along with that would be vector images of the ocean, waves, water drops, puddles, and splashes.

  37. I love silhouettes of crowds (hands up in the air, dancing, etc.). Always makes a good base for a crazy piece.

  38. Hey,
I would like to have vectors with things I use everyday.
Likea cup of tea or lipstick (I don’t use that), hat, shoes and makeup.
    And I love Flower Vectors………
    Hope I’ll win one.
    Greetings,
    Daniel

  39. I’d love to see some grudge vector stuff. I really enjoy designing sites that contain something like that in the background! 😀

  40. That would be cool if they had detailed vector silhouettes (or non-silhouettes) of the vast range of computer components, various tools for all mechanical or non-mechanical uses, or the complete human anatomy (and why stop there; even plant and animal anatomies). Peace!

  41. What I haven’t seen yet, are party element vectors. Objects that can be use in backgrounds and/or elements that can be added to spice up birthday, baptism, wedding invitations… catch what I’m saying?

Anyway, great contest. Good luck to everyone!

  42. hello~ i would realy like to see plenty of creatures and cute robot vectors~
the combination of imaginations and reality~
    🙂

  43. I love ornaments, swirls and flourishes!
I would use them on a new website I am working on.
    Thanks!

  44. Swirls, ornaments, splatter and grunge… that seems to be what I’m using most of the time.
But some brushes… both scatter and paint/ink would be nice to.

  45. I’d like them to make a vector pack for the summer (Think of good vectored palm trees/islands/cocktails/beach chairs/ice creams..)

    That would be awesome!:D
