For the past couple of months I’ve been working on a site called Vector Mill. For $30, you get a “Crate” full of vector icons, art brushes, pattern brushes, seamless textures, textures, text graphic styles, graphic styles, seamless patterns, a random vector illustration, and a special file. These are perfect for every Illustrator user. The thing is, I need is some testers to test the elements and in return, the testers gets the Crate they test free!
Whats is Required if you are a Tester
If you’re picked, you will receive the files via email and will have 3-6 days to test the elements under certain scenarios (scenarios will be written and accompany the file). After you are done testing, you are required to fill out a quick questionnaire and report back with any problems. After that, you get to keep the crate free! There are some terms to use the elements, but they will be included with the files.
Becoming a Tester
I’m not sure how many testers I need, but I need testers with a range of abilities and tester using Illustrator versions CS3, CS4, or CS5. If you are interested in becoming a tester, fill out the form below.
Announcing The Testers
I won’t be announcing the testers on Vectips, but if you become a tester you will know by January 25th or 26th via email.
How Does Vector Mill Affect Vectips?
I’m currently an exclusive contributor at iStockphoto.com. Because of my exclusivity, I am limited to doing things like selling stock on other sites. This exclusivity also has limitations on releasing stock via creative commons and free models. My exclusivity with iStock will end at the end of the month, letting me pursue project like Vector Mill. Moreover, it will allow me to release more freebies such as brushes, styles, and vector images. So Vector Mill won’t negatively affect Vectips at all! If anything, there will be a lot more content on the way! Although January has been a little slow on new posts (because of Vector Mill development), in the future there should be no effect.
This is my first time here and just wanted to stop by to say hello everyone!.
Sad, I just arrived to this page today. Anyways, if you’re still needing some testers I submitted a form and would be happy to help.
@Bendsen Your correct, it’s just a confirmation that the form submission went through.
right back @Rype
Roger and affirmative 🙂
This is really exciting news.
Hey Rype
I just got a confirmation mail form the your tester form – is it supposed to be completely empty?
Have a nice weekend !
My fault! It shouldn’t be empty, but I just forgot to save the reply message. Should be working now.
does this mean we need to re-fill out the form?
Nope! I still got all the info everyone sent.
So, there’s nothing in the confirmation mail that Paul J and me need to confirm?
It’s actually more of an “Hey, you just filled in my Vector Mill Tester form – Awesome!”-confirmation mail,or how should we proceed? 🙂
Hi Ryan,
I am happy to help you. I have Illustrator CS3 and CS5. Wellcome!
