You can register with Adobe® to view a special web broadcast for Adobe® Creative Suite® 4 on the 23rd of September, 2008. All you have to do is follow this link and sign up for a time and Adobe® will send you information on how to view it. I’m all signed up and can’t wait to see what is in store for Illustrator CS4! Does any one have any predictions on what the new features Illustrator will include?
Ivan,
I would also love to see some improvement on the web tools. I do most of my website wire frames in Illustrator, it would be nice to just do the whole website design in Illustrator. It would help if they improved the slicing like you said.
Grant,
I hope they improve the smart object as well. It would come in handy!
Well, I’ve heard a sunburst tool.
Woo…?
I really hope they upgrade LiveTrace; it’d be nice if it had some “smart” way of constraining certain angles within a trace that are in close enough proximity; such as a straight line actually being a straight line, a vertical line being directly 90 degrees, etc.
Also, agreed with Grant… I’d love to be able to have my vectors come over to PS as their separate layers; maybe lock them by default?
i think it would be very nice if they improved web tools like slicing ..
& if they add some animation abilities 🙂 .
We’ve mentioned this on your site before but I really hope they allow you to copy and paste entire illustrations from illustrator into Photoshop as vector smart objects and maintain the existing layers. That would be immensely helpful!
Esben,
Upgrading the Live Trace would be nice.
Brian,
What tools did they announce!?
Just the Mordy Golding link you provided on twitter 🙂
I do hope they upgrade live trace to the standard of inkscape, but otherwise I don’t really have any ideas
btw thanks for your link to my article on “creative curio” in your “monthly roundup”, I appreciate it
This adress is strange, what is istreamplanet ?
i think it’s a fake, just to keep mails…
I do!
I was actually at the Adobe Keynote when they announced CS4.
🙂
There are some powerful new tools on the way…
and they only announced a few tools!
I am very excited.
🙂
