Weekly Vector Inspiration #84

Weekly Vector Inspiration 84

This post is part of a weekly series showcasing inspirational vector art. Although the series showcases vector art, some work might just be vector inspired, not created completely with vector art. If you have any art suggestions, feel free to comment! For more vector art inspiration, check out the Vectips Flickr Group.

  1. Great collection of images. Particularly like Jonathon Calugi’s two blue and white outline images. Nice and fresh and clean. Thanks for sharing.

  2. great work this week once again. nice to see some starwars illustrations in there. Just to pick a few really like the detail gone into “Exit Man and Alesk” by Tsuna Me fantastic work. Also like the Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World Poster by Martin Ansin, looks like my kind of film.

  3. RickyTickyTavvy- Great point. My Tiger Chief design took me a little over 5 hours…now the last couple hours dealt more with finalizing color schemes and smoothing out some of the issues in line quality. I’m practicing more so that I can get quicker and start pumping out more work but the important things is to stay patient. For me it’s better to hate a final piece than to give up half way though.

  4. the 4. sucks. The idea is stolen by the famous streetart and graffiti-artist aryz. so this guy doesn’t give inspiration. he stole his own.

  5. Every piece from every “Weekly Vector Inspiration” is fantazmigorical!!!

The diverse styles and variety of techniques always amazes and inspires! Kudos and many thanks to the incredibly talented folks who populate the field of Graphic Design and who create and share such innovative, bizarre, creative and detailed works of art!

I have one request for submitting artists: Please let those of us who drool-in-wonder at your creative genius know how long it took to create your art — from first sketches to presented piece.

Knowing the hours needed to create such marvels would assure all would-be & up-and-coming Designers that — despite what it seems like every week — magnificence doesn’t just pop-up out of thin air. A reality check of the perseverance and dedication it takes to design and create the superb art of the “Weekly Vector Inspiration” would reduce the frustration of newbies and rookies who desire to create such masterpieces, but give up when a design as simple-looking as Jonathon Calugi’s “BE LOVE” doesn’t manifest itself on their monitor in 30-minutes-or-less!

Anyway — that’s the only thing that seems to be missing from these pages — otherwise I find my visits here to be a much-enjoyed waking dream!

Thanks again to all for the weekly trips to the realms of “AWE!” and “WOW!”
